The TEQGames series of programs are developed based on an iterative Story Engine and Game Engine design process, FLEX© Labs (Flexible Learning Experience), pioneered by TEQGames and used in such projects as the U.S. Navy’s Recruit Training Center Battle Stations 21 capstone experience, and the National Flight Academy series of immersive AIR programs on board Ambition. A Story Engine (the student inspiration driver) will set up specific scenario-based decision objectives for the student participants (individual or team), and the Game Engine (the student engagement driver) will take student input and drive a decision tree system based on the defined learning objectives. The output from the Game Engine drives the next element in the Story Engine, so the scenario evolves in response to student participant decisions and inputs, and surrounding “real world” responses.
The FLEX Programs are intended to generate a high level of participant interest in STEM subjects and activities; and to achieve defined measures of competency against learning objectives in math and science, critical thinking, leadership, and ethical behavior. The goal is to create compelling programs that will allow Educational Partners to “Transform the STEM Education Equation”, particularly with regard to Science and Math subject matter; and to provide a compelling and competitive platform that will allow local program development but will be scalable for regional and national development participation.
The FLEX Aviation Classroom Experience (FLEX – ACE) is a STEM immersive laboratory designed for use in middle and high schools to inspire students in STEM subjects through engaging, real world play; and provide teachers with tools to enhance student critical thinking in the application of science and math in relevant, “ripped from the headlines” stories.
By using inspiring aviation story lines and serious game play, ACE excites and engages students about STEM subject matter and provides relevant experiences that foster deeper learning. The ultimate ACE classroom is themed to emulates a modern remotely piloted vehicle (RPV) control center, where students can pilot RPVs on exciting missions anywhere in the world. This contextually rich environment transforms a traditional classroom into an interactive, multi-sensory setting where students are immersed in the missions and challenged to solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Students role-play as aviators, meteorologists, scientists, and engineers, and perform hands-on learning activities that require critical thinking methods and working in small-group collaborations.
ACE Flight Team members are dedicated to academic excellence through the application of science, technology, engineering, and math (“STEM”) to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Through relevant aeronautical experiences, ACE Flight Teams exercise STEM knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork, and sound decision making to complete real world assignments.
Welcome to the Science Of Aeronautical Research – SOAR. For centuries, pioneers, explorers, scientists, and engineers have been inspired by the science of aeronautics. Now it’s your turn to SOAR into the fascinating world of flight. Inspired to Soar engages ACE Flight Team members in five exciting training missions exploring airfoil flight in two different Remotely Piloted Vehicles.
Get ready for some of the most exciting FLEX ACE Missions to date. The FLEX ACE Global Adventures series will challenge your critical thinking in high priority missions around the world. Your ACE Flight Team will be called on to command Remotely Piloted Vehicles on assignments from the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe to the busy yet remote cruise ship port of Sitka, Alaska.
FLEX WAVES is a series of immersive classes integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with the exciting Wonders of Audio Visual Engineering and Science (WAVES).
FLEX WAVES is a series of immersive classes integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with the exciting Wonders of Audio Visual Engineering and Science (WAVES).
FLEX WAVES series transforms each classroom into an interactive “Production Studio” where you will become a “Producer” and member of your own Studio Production Team, experiencing the challenges of producing your own audio/visual creations! To help you with this exciting journey, each classroom will be equipped with some of the latest A/V technology, which may be used in many of today’s studios.
Development of FLEX WAVES is in progress! To learn more, please contact us.
FLEX SPORTS is a sports-based lab program for middle and high school students. The FLEX program uses a variety of sports-based experiences to create a relevant, immersive learning environment.
The FLEX SPORTS program will engage students in relevant STEM experiences based on a variety of sports-related activities covering four specific areas: physics and physical sciences, chemical and molecular science through materials science, health sciences through biomechanical sciences, and health and fitness.
The First Tee STEM Legacy Course Range Book series “Links” golf with the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) principles embedded in the game. The Range Book includes nine Holes or exercises, each introducing a STEM Concept. The “Aim”, or objective of each hole is to experience these STEM concepts through a series of “Aligned” activities or shots. Completing all the shots on each hole will demonstrate practical application of the STEM concept through a relevant golf exercise.
The First Tee STEMLinks Field Guide program is an extracurricular student learning experience that expands the educational opportunities offered through the First Tee National Schools program. The Field Guide links classroom learning objectives in science and math to real-world applications through hands-on exploration of a managed ecosystem. The program’s learning objectives are based on students’ application of fifth-grade science and math standards. The field activities also introduce students to exciting opportunities in specific scientific fields relating to ecology.
TEQGames is an Orlando, FL-based company focused on designing educational experiences.
We create educational game and game-adjacent content for classrooms, museums, and other learning institutions with the goal of inspiring students to engage with their curriculum in a way that promotes long-term interest in learning.
We’ve built specialized, themed classrooms for STEM-based learning, we’ve built programs for theme parks, and we’ve designed overnight camps for museums.
